Perancangan Coran, Perancangan dan Pembuatan Pola Input Miter Case

The project is carried out in line with the development of technology that allows agricultural and plantation companies to improve their operational efficiency through mechanical solutions. One such solution is the development of agricultural tools such as the Kronos Rotary Tractor. A key component in this system is the Input Miter Case, which serves as a transmission miter from the machine to the blade. To ensure the optimal performance of these components, the right material is required, in this case Ductile Iron as per ASTM A-536 grade 65-45-12. To make an object that conforms to predetermined standards, the casting design process is an important stage in the production of engineering components. The results obtained from the casting design process are the composition of Ductile Iron materials according to ASTM A-536 grade 65-45-12 standards for Input Miter Case objects, mold layout, and cast yield of 65.73%. In addition to casting design, pattern design is also very necessary in the process of making Input Miter Case objects. The Miter Case Input Pattern is created using the Core Pattern type with a cleft. The pattern is made using wood with H2 quality class. The process of creating the pattern and core box of Input Miter Case takes 55 hours and 29 minutes. The cost of making the design of castings, patterns and core boxes does not include materials, labor, machine rental, and overhead costs, with a total cost of approximately Rp 491,500,- . Meanwhile, the total production cost of patterns and core boxes is calculated based on the cost of raw materials, operator costs, and machine rental costs, for patterns and core boxes of approximately IDR 1,237,000 and IDR 1,082,100,-, respectively with the total production cost of patterns and core boxes of Input
Miter Case of approximately IDR 2,319,100,-.
